1. Goo eveing, ladies and gentlemen? Welcome to english presentation club. Let me just start off by introducing myself. My name is John Smith. I'm the new marketing director. Today, I'd like to talk about our product line for the year 2002.


2. I'm going to split my talk into four main parts. First, I want to start by giving you some background information. Then I'm going to present our financial report for the year 2001 to you, for reference. Next, I'll go over some of the products we have in development right now. Finally, we'll look at specific products that are set to be released next year. Just stop me if you have any questions during my presentation, OK? Now, we can begin by looking at some background information.

Application Exercise


1. Now, let's begin the presentation. I want to start off by discussing these sales figures. So, first, why have our slaes decreased for the past couple of years? And, more importantly what can we do to slove this problem?


2. We need to cosider this matter together. Accoding to a recently published survey, toothpate sales over the past ten years have clearly gone down. These figure clearly indicate that the demand for toothpate is at an all-time low. For example, some people I know never even brush their teeth. If this trend continues, it may be a little difficult to maintain our present level of sales.
